I am trying to get a feel for attendance. I would love to keep this thing going. I am working 60-70 hours per week in Commercial Construction so I have not had time to promote this properly. Phil has his hands full with his 3 boys racing. My question to you as the racer, is this event important to you? Please be honest with me. I love this sport and will gladly keep this event going if you want it. It will be a Friday open practice, Saturday practice by class and an Endurance race, and sprint racing on Sunday. The dates are July 2-4. MGKT is the nicest Mini track I have ever been to and one of the nicest venues period. I am willing to listen to any good ideas or advice. If you want to keep it private, email me at cam@mmracing.biz Thanks, Cam
ps, The fastest way to contact me is by email or Facebook. _________________ You want a fast kid? Get him/her a slow bike! |

I am trying to see if there is enough riders interested in this race to have it. I have no intentions of paying in any class. Phil has his hands full with his boys so I want to know if this event is going to be well attended. Phil will be at a WERA National on July 2-3 in Michigan. Kim and Honcho have told me they would help but before we invest four figures ($^^^^) I need to know MGKT and I will not lose money. Sorry for the confusion. Cam
I need 35 racers committed to have the National. _________________ You want a fast kid? Get him/her a slow bike! |

Cam, I don't come to race for the money, I come to the SEMRA races to have fun with great people like you. I will show up either way with a smile on my face and a good weekend to look forward to. _________________ 2010 Sponsors:

This might not be the popular opinion, but I do not think the turnout will be strong for this event. I believe with the 4th being on a weekend this year that many racers will end up taking traditional vacations or spend time with family.
We know that SEMRA will travel, but I don't think many racers from other organizations will make the trip to Georgia on the fourth of July. SEMRA had great representation in Wisconsin for the last National, but no other organization traveled to the event. The only other group to substantially support the event was the local organization.
I enjoy racing minis and supermotos with SEMRA, but my opinion is that this would be an extended SEMRA event over the holiday weekend. I think most racers will take the time off racing to spend with family and friends.
Just My Opinion

| Count us in. We will be there. Its the 4th most of us just grill and go watch fireworks if we stay home. Kyle would rather be at the track than a fireworks show. |

We would be there but we have annual family plans every year on the 4th of July with the entire Fischer clan. Including a 10K fun run now rather than schlepping downtown for the Peachtree 10K.
Sorry!
I agree with Steven thou, if turnout at SEMRA events has been light for the first 2 rounds, I don't see anyone other than SEMRA members showing without major advertising and upfront funding from other leagues. _________________ If it can't kill ya or at least scare ya...it probably isn't any fun at all.

We decided to cancel the Mini Nationals due to a lack of support. I apologize to the ones that did support the race. Thank you, Cam _________________ You want a fast kid? Get him/her a slow bike! |
