Frequently Asked Question

1) What do I need to do before my first race with SEMRA?

- In order to get your license you will need to first check the forum for an open Competition number for your bike

- You will need to pay for either a full year or 1 time event license

- If you are a minor you must print out the license copy for your legal parent or guardian to sign and bring with you to the event

- you should also review and be able to pass the tech rules for your bike

- you should also review the rule book for information about approved riding gear

- then you can pre-register for the event you plan to attend by clicking Sprint Registration

If you fail to complete all the steps in advance plan to BE EARLY so that you can fill out forms and pay at the Late Registration desk.

 2) What type of gear do I need to wear?

Full leathers are recommended but Motocross gear is also acceptable - full coverage race boots, gloves and helmet with full face shield or approved goggles, all in good condition.  Your gear should PROTECT YOU.  The "NO" list includes: crashed helmets, tennis shoes or hiking boots, jeans, sunglasses.  More information can be found in our Rule Book

 3) What class can my bike run in?

We run Superbike rules in all classes except the SPEC class, which means your bike is limited by the cc.  Look at the current classes here to see what class you bike will fit in.

4)  What if I don't PAYPAL to pre-register?

In order to get the pre-entry rates, you must pay when you submit your entry information.  When you are directed to pay - you can sign in to PayPal OR you can select the "CLICK HERE" option to the left side to pay with a credit or debit card.  If you don't have a debit or credit card, you will have to wait for late registration at the track and pay by CASH or CHECK only.

5) What if I don't make it to a race that I have pre-registered and paid for?

Your entry fees can be forwarded to the next event you plan to attend.  You should send a PM or email thru our forum to the SEMRA Administration: Mrs.Jekyll  to have a note made.

6) What are the rules for the track?

- They vary from track to track, be on time to be at the Riders meeting which occurs first thing in the morning.

- Anyone (visitor, friend, child, racer, pit crew) in the 'hot pits' will be required to pay for and wear an insurance arm band. The rates vary from $5 to $15 depending on age and the track. Bring CASH OR CHECK to pay for these when you arrive. You MUST wear it. Infants (a child that will not walk or run) will not need an armband. Some tracks have a free SPECTATOR area, some only have a full pit area, search the forum or post a question there if you need specifics

- NO ALCOHOL is allowed while the track is hot. If you or anyone in your pit/crew is caught with alcohol - your entire party will be asked to leave immediately, and no refunds will be made.

7) I am a business owner / race enthusiast - how do I go about sponsoring SEMRA?

The primary level is $60 and allows for a 400 x 100 banner ad on the SEMRA site. Additional class sponsorships are available as well. Send an email to advertising@semra.org with your information.

8) When, where, or how do we buy pictures taken at the races?

FisherFotos.com and PicPapa both take pictures and use Dotphoto for a site to sell them.  Watch the forum and they will post in the "General section" when they are online, normally 5 to 7 days after the race.  You then can choose pictures and add to your cart and they will print and ship to any address you enter after you pay online at checkout.

9) Do you pay cash for winning a race?

No we do not, however, we do keep Championship Points during the year and at years end the class sponsor will present to the winner either cash, or more often, merchandise valued at $400 or more.

10) Can you camp at the track or do you have to get a motel nearby?

Each track is different, with most tracks allowing you to stay but will not have electric hook up or showers.  We do have a motel at each track that we work with to get a cheaper rate by telling them you are with SEMRA
