SEMRA 2008 Class Structure
Machines are divided into classes based on the criteria of engine displacement and type (two stroke/four stroke), wheel size, and water or air cooled.
Kids Novice class B - (Ages
4-10)
Up to 70cc four stroke. Auto clutch. Up to 50cc two stroke.
Auto clutch. No engine mods. Aftermarket pipe and jetting
changes only.
Kids Novice class A - (Ages 7-14)
Up to 125cc four stroke. Up to 65cc two stroke. No engine mods. Aftermarket pipe and jetting changes only.
Kids classes will run concurrently, with
a two wave
start. Kids class competitors will be moved at SEMRA officials
discretion.
Adult Novice
Ages 14 and up. Any SEMRA legal mini
may compete in this class. When a competitor's times AND SKILL level
approach the times being turned in the main classes, they will be moved.
Conversely, a competitor in the main events that presents a danger to
himself or others will be moved to Adult Novice so they may safely gain
the skills needed to compete in the main events. The purpose of this
class is to allow competitors new to mini road racing a safe entry into the
sport.
